Maybe this guy could give a rats *** about what other guys think. I know for a fact that over half the hot sluts in my school would give it up because of his car.

Agreed... sluts dig fast LOOKING cars... girls that are worth something need more substance.. like getting pinned to the seat as we show the riced out Neon in the next lane what the a$$ of a 240 looks like! ... know what I'm sayin';)

But I'm pretty sure he DOES care what other people think.. otherwise... why start a thread asking people to 'check out his car'. If you ask the question.. you have to expect answers from both sides of the fence.

I dont like being referred to as a ricer just because I think his car looks pretty cool. This guy obviously put a lot of hard work into his car, i dont think that makes him a ricer at all. To me, ricers are the guys who know nothing about cars and bolt on all the apc crap they can get there hands on. This guy seems to be pretty good at body work. I wish i was talented enough to do a decent paintjob like that. Y'all need to get off your high horses, just because its something you wouldnt drive doesnt mean its crap or a "ricer". For God's sake show a little respect for other people and their cars.

Well, I'll put in my $.02...

It's not all that ricey... just the hood scoops (which I don't like) and the Z3 fenders are pretty ricey (I again don't like them). I am also not a big fan of painting the interior.

I do, however, like the paint job, the spoiler (I have always had a thing for those kind... they remind me of rally cars), and all the effort that went into the car. What I think is not important as long as the guy who put all the time into the car enjoys it!

Um. Er.. uh. .. NOif anyone knows me that is. but then again, i'm a car girl that goes for sleeper cars. all the way. or maybe a few subtle visual touches here and there. but nothing catches my eye more than a intercooler peeking out of an s13 or s14's airdam woo woo! :drooling

*sigh* that fastback looked good in it's stock state, except the rims. oh well. just my opinion. :rolleyes

to each his own I guess, I like kits, but prefer the lower key, clean stickerless look. front mount definitely a must, nothing gets those panties wet like and intercooled smile...(J/K :D )

Kinda off topic, but why would you go from the greddy header to the hotshot?

Do what you want. I dont like the look of non-fucntional items. Im a "form follows function" kind of guy. But its his money, he can do what he wants, but he shouldnt expect accolades because he put a fancy hood scoop on his car(or a big wing, stickers, etc)..it applies to everyone. I dont expect people to love me beause I modify my car and dont care about the body..I get crap every day for not fixing the right side of my car...my answer has always been "all you see is tailights anyway man.."

thats just my thoughts.-chet

i think its DAMN GOOD body work. i dont know how that was done without a dust booth or pro body shop. I think there would be no problem with the car if it had say. . . an RB25, or a KA-T or forced induction of some other sort. also i think some gunmetal 17s would look NICE with that color. only you would have to tuck em. ;) other than that. cut out the bottom of the hood scoops to make them functional. but might mess up your intake at high speeds because of the turbulence. just a thought. chris

That hood scoop belongs on a Honda...

Im gona cry.

Bro you did some awsome body work and I recognize the time you spent on her but that s*** is nasty. I shaved my blinkers, antena and the thick bottom body line of my car and it looks hella clean. But the wing and hood are nappy. I love the color tho..

I assume you are asking me.

The GReddy has notoriouly weak weld points. Mine seemed to be holding up fine, but I didn't want to sit around and wait for them to crack. Also, the Hotshot elimiates the first cat. So, I got some cash out of the GReddy and now have a Hotshot on the way.

ok, just wondering cuz it seems like everyone goes with the hotshot, despite some problems lining everything up right and all (hotshot header nightmare post) anyway, are you still emissions legal w/o the first cat? any check engine lights? sorry for the newbie questions, I still have my gs-t and we don't have headers :D

good deal... hey, what do you run with that 75shot, 1/4mi. (estimated) this is getting off topic, but I'm not putting in a new motor for probably 1-2 yrs. might go with headers, pulleys, intake, exhaust while I wait.......

Actually... the second cat is the dummy... the first one is the actual cat. As for emissions, we don't have any testing in Maine except in Cumberland County (Portland area), and I'm juuust outside of that!!! I doubt it would pass though.... in theory.

I haven't had the car to the track EVER, and I've only had the NX kit for a week. Without the N2O I ran dead even, several times, with a guy in a built V6 Camero that (he claims) does 15's even. Not sure if it's true... but it's not entirely impossible.

From what I have been told by a few members here that run a similar setup... a 35 shot will get it into the high 14s, and a 75 shot will get it into mid or high 13s!!! I hope so, but we shall see!! Regardless.. it is MORE than enough to take out any local ricers around here.

BTW... if I had to own a Mitsu... I sure wouldn't kick the GS-T out of my driveway!!! Nice car even in stock form.

very true, and it's not stock;) I don't know, I'm just looking for something a little more reliable, and while I'm at it, FR wouldn't hurt either. Not saying that I won't miss that bastard, I don't even have to worry much about the mustang gt's, or hardly anyone on the highway, but as much as I drive, it always comes back in maintenance, and towing the car all the time gets old REAL fast. But now that I've had the head redone and all new belts, etc. it's running real good and making this transition painful......

then again, you can't drift a front wheel drive. even if you could, why would you? and there's something about being able to use my car playing gt3....

I think the car is nice. atleast it gave me an idea on how mine should look. Call it rice if you want but I bet alot of people would admire it. It is nice when people say nice car even without knowing what you have on you motor. Whe are not always on the track you know! You could have all scooped up motor but your exterior is pure stock, no one would turn thier head and say wow that's a nice car. Even if you drive with your hood off the car to show off your scooped up motor, more people would say there is something wrong with that car rather than admiring it. Ricer or no ricer it still looks good... I pretty much sure you'll do some upgrade on your motor. By then you will have a fast and nice looking rideGood Job

:spit man, oh man. i wanted to cry for that 240. i got so heated after seeing how many potential rice kids were actually praising that tortured car at the beginning of this thread. i'm glad the anti-rice movement came in to save the day. (whew!)how dare that guy totally and completely rice out that once admirable 240??? reminds me of craig leiberman massacering(sp?) that r34. i mean i do feel bad for the guy. so much money was put into that car just to make it an eyesore. well, i do hope the sluts like it. totally the wrong forum to be posting those pics, though.

uhh why? Iam so confused of why people would like to spend there cash on such non-sense. rice is horrible people and later on when its not the "cool thing" anymore you are going to regret it and pay the ohh so expensive prices of bring it back to stock.. but hey thats just me..but iam traveling through the same path of bringing it back, but by no fault of my own..

Well alot of people have bad taste. Im sorry but it is too crazy looking for me. the hood, wing and everything doesnt flow well with the nice lines of the 240. Just because a car has a nice paint job and good body work(and it definitely does) doesnt make it not rice. Its just clean rice.
