check engine light

ok i just disconneted a clip that hook up the the intake and now my check engine light is on. what do i do now to make it turn off?

try disconnecting the battery or just wait 50 starts

I tried the battery. is there a certain amount of time I should leave it disconnected? and does that 50 start work?

yes, you will have to leave the battery disconnected for some time. I haven't done it to a G35 so I don't know how long, but i used to just leave the one on my 240 unplugged overnight before I had gotten an OBDII scanner.

I have successfully used the process outlined on the following site to reset the SES light:

It is easy, painless, and you don't have to re-enter all of your radio settings. Just be SURE that you do not START the car, just turn the ignition to the 'ON' position.

No problem Hung... I'm glad it helped. I would caution you though, that if the light comes back on, you may want to have it looked at rather than continuing to reset.
