cheap shipping big parts

was scanning old posts and saw someone wanted to ship bumper and was like 145 ups ground. big parts boxed can be sent on greyhound/trailways bus lines real cheap. pretty fast shipping also. you have to pick it up at bus station but may be cheap easy way to ship bumpers and fenders tailgates etc. I used to ship big heavy computer crap back in the day that way for my company. just a idea to save you truckers some money. Anything to save a buck. They can get most stuff to you as fast and faster than UPS ground. from one state to neighbor can be done in a day, if dropped early in morning and gotten early evening.

no joke. call the local bus line and ask, they can handle some pretty big stuff,anything that can fit under the bus in the storage areas and it is cheap.

I have shipped a pair of bumpers and a trunk lid for my 68 galaxie that way- mind you those bumpers and their brackets are pretty heavy- both bumpers and brackets via greyhound 108 bucks. Trunklid was 97 or 98 bucks.

The size restriction isnt bad, but cant be over 100 pounds.

Biggest issue is knowing when it gets there- if you write the recipients phone number on the address label they will usually call them and let them know...
