Because it's shipping from the US into Canada so it has to go through Customs (extra $, they say). That is kind of high for a 1lb package though...

I need a new drive belt for my 2011 Rogue SL 2WD and as far as I understands, the original part number it needs is 11720-JG30A, however I have been offered P/N 11720-JG30B...does anyone know if there's any difference? Is it safe to go with the "-B" part number?

Thanks.

welcome to the board. we have a thread already open for you: post6637009.html
if the dealer is pushing a newer model number, its probably because they changed a small thing about the original part, and its more or a less a "fix" the older part was having. plenty parts get update this way

Hey guys,

I have a Nissan Rogue, 2008, which has a serpentine belts with the little staggered-cog features. See pic on Amazon, . So unlike the normal belt that you can virtually see the cracks on it, this one is hard to tell. Anyone has a clue to check the belt? Thanks

Hi guys,

I have a "Continental Elite 4060882 Poly-V Belt" on my engine. It has a helical cog texture on it which makes it hard to tell if it's cracked or not. Anyone has similar experience and know when to replace it?

Thanks a lot for help

replace it with an OEM belt bro. that belt you have there, lacks contact patch.

Awesome video. Thanks for that and all the comments that followed. I have a 2009 Rogue with 53k miles but it has been back at Nissan at Nissan many times these past 2 years for recalls and warranty work and every time since it hit 40k they have been telling me to pay them $140 to change the belt because it was in very bad shape so I decided to follow the video and service manual and do it myself.

I did not have the OEM but the Goodyear Gatorback 6PK1805 (I think is costs $7.19 on Amazon) and I can confirm that it is a few mm shorter (1805mm for the 6PK1805 vs 1808mm for the 11720-JG30B) but still installs within specs

Had some trouble installing because I was trying to get it around the crankshaft and tensioner as the last step. But as the manual says (step 3 of installation), do the water pump last. Doing so, I was able to get it in place but having no help around, had to use 2 extensions and a breaker bar that I basically sat on while holding the top end with one hand and slipped the belt over the water pump using the circular part of the jack handle. Should have had a helper or just gotten the OEM belt.

Thanks for all the information on this forum

I believe the B adds support for the 2015 Rogues.

Reviving this older thread to share my experience after reviewing all the great information here and the excellent YouTube video.

I ended up using the Driveworks belt from Advance Auto as it was what was available when I decided to do the job. It is also about 1805mm but it worked fine once installed. It turns out that even at 144K miles the original belt was in decent shape, likely because most of the driving is highway so things are kept a bit cooler under the hood.

When installing it solo I found that I was able to hold the tensioner properly while using the A/C compressor as my last pully to put the belt around. I was a bit cross armed but was able to do it with just my 3/8 ratchet for leverage. I did have to push the tensioner all the way, but it worked out just fine with a little effort. I found that this allowed me to line the belt up properly on the up top pullys and I was able to focus on just the one for the final push.

Thanks again to all who preceeded me on this for sharing your experiences.

Just an FYI for owners of 2014 - 2017 Rogues (maybe newer, can't confirm)..The part number(s) listed previously in this thread are not the correct ones for the newer Rogue. OEM Nissan part number for the serpentine belt is 11720-4BA0A.
