Changing Rear License Plate light color.

I noticed recently that most late model lexus' have these nice xenon colored rear license plate lights which seem to show really good at night, i was wondering if anyone on here has swapped out the old yeller lights for perhaps a different color. um i found a link to show if some are still confused. I just want to know what the manufacturer. part no. would be the right one, and if anyone has done this already plz let me know, iv'e got a few curiosities. tnx

In many states it is illegal to have a different color other then white. So i haven't bothered with changing those out.

i know a lot of people using LED lights. They sell them at any auto parts store. bring your stock bulb and a sales rep could help you find the right bulb. hopefully this helps.

I changed all my bulbs to LED's on my 07, turn signals, reverse, licence plate and all the interior ones and they look awsome. At night u can see them from far away, at least thas what my fried said..lol. I got them from this web sitehttp://www.superbrightleds.com/led_prods.htm

So how Do you change the rear license plate night lights?

I recently ordered a new set of hyper led white off of ebay from iJdm for like $6.

I tried popping off the plastic but it was difficult and I didn't want to risk breaking something.

http://www.leddomelight.com has these nifty little connectors. They liik like the stock size bulb, but are plastic with a + and a - wire coming out. You connect it to one of their LED strips, and a small piece of 3M acrylic adhesive, and you're set.

Contact their customer service and tell them ehat you're doing. They will hook you up. Be sure to tell them you are from NICO.

haha thats so funny how you guys are talking about this. I just "borrowed" gel caps from pep boys (1.99 if you don't want to borrow) for my plates. I wanted blue to match my car, but they ran out so i borrowed green. Looks really funny, kind of a joke but still looks good. Ill go take some pictures hold on...

Sorry to dig up this thread from its grave, but Galdo1 (or anybody else), would you mind telling me (by providing specific URLs), which kind of LEDs I need for the reverse light? I can't stand the bland yellow / white, I want HYPER WHITE instead =)
