2 months after doing the complete plenum job (had all the injectors out & cleaned or replaced) I had an injector failure, #6, under the plenum. I removed all the plenum to runner bolts, removed the IAC, and lifted the plenum up enough to remove #6 and replace it ! Last time I had to press out the injectors in a vise (socket over the bottom). I used silicone assembly lube on the O rings during re-install. This allowed the injector to slide out with minimal force with the rail still in place. Put in my spare injector (with silicone), back on the road ! Doug in Cali, if you're reading, it wasn't one of yours that failed.

Golden. Im hoping no injector failures for me, we have good gas here so less chances of messing them up.

Qdog: Thank god it wasn't one of of the injectors I sold you as the guilt would make me crazy. I have a couple of spares left, but had to pull my plenum for second time in a year to replace 3!!!! out of spec injectors. Wouldn't wish a multiple plenum pull on anyone but the second pull was much easier. Good to see you figured out how to do the injector without complete removal. I thought is was possible with skinny arms, long fingers, and alot or pre-streching!

Hey Doug, on your 2nd plenum pull, were you able to reuse all your hoses?

hoses were all good because the dealer replaced them all for the former owner about 2 years ago--lucky I guess
