Change 4speed to 5 speed gear box in 720

Hello, I have a Datsun pickup truck 720, Year of manufacture, November 1984, 2WD, transmission 4 speed manual (half-gear), engine is J16 (petrol). It is a nice double cabin which works well, but I want to upgrade the gearbox to 5 speed for better fuel efficiency on highways, without having to change the engine. What other gearboxes will fit in without too much modification?

You shouldn't have to modify anything in order to fit the trans as far as I know, but finding a 5 speed that matches your engine will be the hard part. I need to get some time in to compile a list of what engines and what transmissions match up, but I just haven't gotten around to it. THAT will be your biggest problem, though. Finding a 5 speed that matches the engine.
