I'm taking the car over to the shop possible tonight to get it on the lift and start taking out the blown block and transmission. Hopefully everything goes well and I can have it running again in a couple weeks. Hopefully downsizing to a 6262 .63, 2.5" i?c piping, and the stock t.b., I will pick up some spool time and response. I'm thinking it will make the same power at close to the same boost level, the smaller turbo being more efficient at the lower boost lever vs the 66/67 I had.

BTW: does anyone have any personal experience with a billet 6262 on a 25? I am curious of what kind of performance and boost rpm guys are seeing with this turbo on our motors

Whatsadsm had a 6262 on his Rb26 made good power

Im using a 6766 and pretty happy with the response

T3.. i would be using a .82 rear housing on a 6 cylinder..

Your car being tuned properly this time around will make all the difference in how it performs as a whole. spool, torque, power, etc

Keep us updated

Thanks man, that's pretty dope. I'm still debating on building it or not.

I vote 6266 with a spool valve, but only because thats what I have. You can retain the spool characteristics of the smaller turbine, but retain the high end potential of the 66mm turbine.

That would be cool, but if it doesn't do what I want, I'll buy a larger turbine housing for it.

Well, I finally got the car back together and started it up last night. It sounded good, and didn't smoke lol, so that's a good thing. New turbo spins freely, and the lifter only ticked for a minute. Can't wait to get it to dyno, hopefully next week. With a new turbo, smaller i/c pipe, new down pipe, and stock throttle body, I'm anxious to see how much better the spool up will be over my old setup. Here's what it loos like. I'm still gonna get a clear cam cover from Ricky and run an HKS filter as soon as the new element for it comes in.I also redone my oil lines and wiring harness.

PTE billet 6262 .63 hot side. Johnny Adams @ Adams Automotive in Crestview Florida will more than likely tune it.

The bay got painted about 3 years ago.

looks great Chad. I like how everything is coordinated and not a plethora of random color parts. Get some video of this beast if you can! Everyone loves to hear RB's lol.

Mo money Mo money Mo money. Turbo blanket came in and I put the coil cover back on after a week of soaking it in Back to Black. All that's left are my HKS couplers to go with my HKS power flow intake that's going on it.

Got it back on the dyno today. The red lines are from today with the Billet 6262 .63 a/r, 2.5" down pipe, 2.5" i/c piping, and stock throttle body. The blue lines are from my old setup with a Bullseye S366 (6667) .86, 3" down pipe, 3" i/c piping, and Q45 throttle body. All pulls were at 18psi which is staright off the gate. There is no boost controller, just the spring. Timing is super conservative 13 degrees, and AFR's never get above 11.4 scaled for 93 octane e-10. As you can see, bigger is not always better. The smaller billet turbo and smaller piping absolutely dominated the larger setup from 3k to 6k and still made higher peak numbers. 120hp and almost 140tq pickup at 5K!
