How can someone say that something is money well spent while not knowing how much they spent? That seems weird to me.tyler_ofspain wrote:Well the more people who are interested the cheeper they can make it... one of the guys who i work with got a centerforce clutch on his spec v and said he wasn't sure how much it was but that it was money well spent
Well when you start adding power to the car with performance upgrades such as intakes, exhaust, turbo the stock clutch brakes down much quicker and begins to slip which is bad for your car and not very safeGreat White Versa wrote:

How much would a performance clutch alter the driving experience? That wasn't something that I had even thought about changing since mine seems to work fine.
That doesnt seem like very much money. What is the quality of their work?kcourtad wrote:sounds like it will be about 150 - 200 bucks...
that would be awesome although i don't know any companies who do transmissions...boxcarbill wrote:How about a replacement 6 speed? One with significantly more overdrive? Or a mod to the existing transmission replacing 5th gear with some decent overdrive.
Wouldn't it be easier to to replace the differential with one that creates a larger final drive? I'm not sure that those are the right words but the end result would be a differential (or final drive, if that's different) that caused a reduction in the RPM/speed ratio throughout all gears.boxcarbill wrote:How about a replacement 6 speed? I believe it would either be stage 2 or 3 you'd have to ask rogerreyes1212 wrote:I would like to do this...is it like a stage 2 clutch?
By the end of the summer there should be an upgrade to the entire air management system (intake to exhaust). Though adding a CAI and a custom exhaust probably wont cause a significant increase in power, changing the headers (both intake and exhaust) along with the previous two might.marleyfan wrote:
I can't imagine that an intake and an exhaust are going to add power significant enough to cause clutch issues. The turbo isn't available yet (as far as I know). Perhaps when other performance enhancing mods are available people may have to look at the clutch but it would be waaaaaay down on my list at this point if I had the MT.
