For a 1998 S14. I did a search to no avail. How do you remove the plastic pieces in the center console that surround the vents, stereo, and shifter. When I got my car, the previous owner painted them white to match the exterior, I want to go back to black. Thanks, John

more then likely it will just pull off with snaps, but to be sure, might want to go invest in a FSM. It should show you the locations of all the point that are holding the center console on. and the proper way to take it off.

Yea, there's nothing much you can do, besides just pull. They shouldn't break on a 98. They broke on my 89 for the obvious age reasons.

Thanks guys, once I pulled out the piece around the shift boot, the rest was cake. I just didn't wan't to pull it up and find out that I wasn't supposed too do that. Just wanted to hear that that was the correct way to do it.
