My 2000 I30 threw this code and I believe it is the sensor. I read online that the front sensor bank 2 is the blue wired sensor visible from under the hood and is the most possible culprit?

4 sensors on this vehicle. Blue, red, white towards the front and black which is close to the firewall.

Read that best advice is to change blue and red which appear to be both bank 2?Just replaced the fuel regular, diaphram and had throttle body cleaned to the tune of $450.

Is there reason to believe that repair could cause the sensor(s) to fail?

Sorry to tell you this, but the P0430 code is for the bank 2 catalytic converter. Its the one on the front of the engine (not the front exhaust pipe). It will be more expensive than an oxygen sensor. replacing the oxygen sensor(s) alone will not fix your check engine light.
