Drove it to work and when i got done it wouldnt turnover at all. No Dash lights no click no anything. I checked all the fuses and none were blown. The batterys fine. Anyone know would this could be??? Sadly im getting rid of it with only 160k miles and a mint body for 600 bucks. Turbo still spools right up. I've just had to many problems with it. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

one of the fusible links webt bad for the left headlight. But i cut that but if theres a wire still making contact would it blow the main fuse in the engine? or just short the entire thing out?

a few things can entirely shut down a car. If there was an overload in the system, the alternator could of blown the diode packs in it and u will get nothing. I would suspect that first. Other things could be a main fuse, bad wiring, main relays. Check to see if your batt is good (always first), then with the car being dead (no head lights, no brake lights, no hazards, nothing comes on, jus like a dead battery) then I would defiantly check out the alternator. You can take the alternator and have it tested somewhere.

if you suspect the alternator you can just disconnect it and see if everythign starts to function

Well i got her fixed. The fusible for the headlights was some how attached to the fusible link for the ignition. I wired them back and it popped right off. But someone is taking her home Tuesday or so. The guy i sold it to has 2 other Zs and is rebuilding mine for his son, So im glad to see it go to a good home. But thanks for all the help you guys have given me through the past year when i had the problems i did. I'm sure i'll own another one eventually. I just dont have the time or money being a full time College student and working part time. Im switching over to a Celica for now (being theres 6 in my family alone) Ill check in and see whats new. Take it easy.
