I've searched and i stil don't know which ones of those 4 hoses coming out from under the manifold connect to the carbon canister. Also, a line that goes behind the engine and comes out above the turbo( its a metal hosing line).

the long one, I think its in the middle, terminating in a rubber hose, thats the one that goes to the carbon canister. that vaccuum line above the turbo I have no idea, I had mine capped off, then I hooked it up to vaccuum, and now its crimped closed, and none of it seemed to make a difference... does anyone know what that is? I don't see it on the FSM diagram.

Carbon canister is for emmisions. If you're concerned about hooking it up, look in a 240sx FSM. I'm fairly sure that it's in there. I'm at work, so I can't look right now.

My vac source for wastegate and BOV comes from right behind the throttle body on the intake manifold. The sources for the FPR and butterfly actuator comes off the back of the mani. Really, I just have 2 vac sources IIRC, just used Ts to send to different actuators.

The manifold actually only has 2 spots for a Vac. reference. One on the passenger side of the intake mine, lower on the plenum, right behind the TB. It's a larger diameter. The other is on the back side of the plenum, and is a smaller diameter. I'm using the one at the back of the mani for my butterflys and the FPR. The one at the front, near the TB, is currently feeding my MAP sensor (I have an SDS Standalone), but will also feed my BOV. You could also use it for the wastegate.

Do not plug the metal line going back to the gas tank. It vents the gas vapors. If you plug it, it will pressurize the gas tank.

This is true. What I did with mine was bend the line so that it just pointed down underneath the car, away from anything hot.

download the fsm, it will show you all you need to know. also your wastegate signal should come from before the TB, not from the manifold, the bov should be tapped into the manifold.

I don't know for sure which 4 hoses you mean, but I would like to know about the one that comes around the back of the engine and bolts to the turbo outlet thing... wtf is it...

for the 4 tubes look at my huge post in the FAQ sticky

I need to rework it a bunch as its horribly written..

edit: I wasn't paying attention and when you said 4 assumed you meant the 4 pipes at the intake mani, which do cause alot of confusion. If you meant the ones at the charcoal canister (of which I only see 3 in the diagrams..) then I'm not sure off hand what goes where and I'm too lazy right now to look and tell you but you can see where everything goes in the following FAST sections:223 - VACUUM PIPING173 - FUEL PIPING

that would seem to indicate two to the intake mani and two to the tank.

Bio I have a question now in the diagram for the vacuum piping it shows Automatic and Manual what would you go by if my CA was a Automatic converted to Manual?

yeah. I only include that for completeness. in this case the only material difference is the solenoid to reaise the FPR for hot starts or such sillyness.
