the burble is the exhaust, everything's been replace air filter, fuel filter, fuel regulator, all vacum hoses replaced. spark plugs, wires, distributir & rotor, tps checked, swap another ecu, maf sensor and injectors checked. the only thing i haven't check is that cat, it might be clogged. if it aint that n it's the timing i'm going to swap a jdm DE in therenametakennow wrote:There's a definite roughness overall and a burble when you come off throttle that doesn't sound right. hmm that could be a possibility, so u mean this could be a issue even in neutral? the car been sitting for 2 yrs. i'm going to take it the mechanic tomorrow to check the exhaust, i couldn't unbolt it since it's so rusted :L hopefully it's the exhausts fault.PapaSmurf2k3 wrote:Well, the only other thing I can think of is if your car has a speed limiter in it, like a rev limiter in a certain gear... and maybe that gear sensor is stuck on?
u may have something going on there. now to see where this sensor's are :L obviously in the transmission but.. i need that book >:L i could just unplug every sensor i see in the transmissionPapaSmurf2k3 wrote:Well, I know in 240s, there is a 4th and 5th gear rev limiter... so even if you have the clutch in, and the shifter in 4th or 5th, the engine won't rev to (or past) redline.
Maybe the switch is somehow stuck on??? You could try checking the Factory Service Manual and seeing which wire are those gear sensors, and cutting them, then seeing if the engine revs.
Again, I've never actually heard of this happening, and I don't even know if your car has this limiter built into it... I'm just spitballing here.
i can't find ur sig :LPapaSmurf2k3 wrote:NICO Provides downloadable factory service manuals for free.
