I have an 1990 s13 (auto) and for awhile now Ive had this weird problem when Im driving on the freeway.

Whenever the car is sufficiently warmed up and has been driving on the freeway for around ~15-20 minutes, the car would lunge forward a bit when I let my foot off the gas (to brake, slow down, etc).

It seems to only happen during high speeds--60 mph+--as I was never able to replicate the lunge on regular street driving.

I have no idea where to start diagnosing. Any ideas?

had this happen on a different vehicle of mine....I checked the fuel filter, and fuel injectors before finding my fuel pump was on its way out....when i let off the gas it had time to "catch up" and would surge.....

a shot in the dark but something to check out.
