Hi

I have a 2007 350Z Roadster that is complete stock. When driving with cruise control on, deceleration (going down hill), the car jerks as if it has decelerated below the set speed and is catching up. This probably happens under normal circumstances but it should be smooth. I have no lights or codes.

Thanks in Advance

Steve

Manual or auto? being a convertible it's most likely an auto but if it is the rare manual convertible it could be the springs in the clutch disk, worn or broken allowing excess movement. If it's an auto, I got nothing.

My Z has always been anything but smooth with the speed reduction when cruise control is on and I'm on a downhill, but it's never done anything I'd consider jerking. You should get some footage from a GoPro or some smartphone video and post it up so we can get a better idea of what you're dealing with.

I was thinking about evildky's post. I believe if the springs in the clutch were worn or broken, I should be able to duplicate the symptoms without by letting off the gas and slightly accellerating with the cruise turned off. I tried this and could not duplicate. I will watch it for awhile to see if I can find a trend other that the cruise on/downhill. I will post again.
