Hopefully this isn't the kiss of death for my 2004 Infiniti G35x! :) I was hearing some front end noises when hitting speed bumps or sudden inclines/declines where the suspensions is compressed. Took it into shop, here are their suggestions. They are not pushy, nor do they say any of these are MUST dos right now.

1) Front/Lower Ball Joints (incl steering knuckle): $1313

2) Struts (apparently the source of the noise) - no evidence that they are currently leaking: $630-828 (depeneding on brand of struts)

3) #2 control Arms: $905

I can find parts on sites like RockAuto for cheaper than they quoted, so I'm starting to think about doing some of this myself. thoughts?

You can contact tunerzstore.com for replacement parts as well. None of those are hard to replace so I would consider a DIY or having a regular import shop do the repairs as they will be cheaper than the dealership.

For DIY help you can consult the FSM (and ask us questions here as well): http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/G35/Sedan/2004/
