car hesitates out of a turn

i have an 97 Infiniti J30 and when i come out of making say a u turn the car hesitates to go, and after a couple of seconds it kicks in. the car still accelerates after the turn its just very slow. the check engine light is not on so i am at a loss. Oh and it also does it from take off sometimes. any help would be greatly appreciated. In case someone didnt know the J30 engine is pretty much the same as the 300ZX. thanks

Be specific! speed and rpm.Any codes showing up that do not illuminate MIL.

V6 in heavy car with AT are usually weak until 3300+ rpm.

i looked for my ecu but i didnt see it i believe someone said it was on the passenger side but i didnt see it. do i have to remove something to get to it. assuming those are the codes you are talking about. i never paid attention to the rpms, i am not exactly a tuner. but i am a quick learner.

i also noticed that today the cars tach fall quickily with a jerk of the car when coming out of first gear

Would that be the shift to second?

yes, sorry. tonite when i drove the car the tach slowed down at about 2k rpm and and the speedo creeps between 5-10mph and then it raised to 5rpm. At this time while its going into 2 gear it feels like someone has hit me from behind, its a very hard jolt. the car simply hesitates to move according to how much pressure im putting on the accelerater and then all of a sudden its like it finally registers and kicks in with a bang. because by the time the car reacts my foot is almost to the floor. are there any sensors that can go bad without triggering the check light? also the cars check light came on about two weeks ago for the knock sensor and 1 and 2 gear something i forgot. but the light went off like a week later. I dunno whats up.
