Okay, quickly before the mods close this for some reason, can anyone help me out..

when i crank my car over, it misses, backfires, then starts to run off 2 or 3 cylinders.. not sure how many.. it's happened a few times.. but only since it's gone in for a dyno tune.. they "tuned" my timing, and set the safc mixtures right to correct for the injectors that have gone in..

Can anyone help us out ?? the only thing i think i havent done is leave my negative off the battery to reset the computer for a while.. i know it isn't fuel, as it's gotta full tank of octane 98, and it has double tipped platinum NGK plugs in, which wouldnt've done 500 k's yet..

ThanksPete

check your ground wires and vacuum lines. those things can cause a ton of strange problems on a CA. you may want to check your timing. you cant set the timing with the little loop on the back of the coil harness, you have to make a little coil-to-plug wire extension and hook the timing light to that. the shop may not have known and set your timing really far off.

Yeah, i've got a timing light already made like that, as housemate owns a r33 with rb25det longer then i've owned my CA, so he already had one thanks though !!

I'll go over it tonight, have a few smalls things to install, so i'll check all my vacuums and earths.. my even put a few more earths in to be sure.. wouldn't hurt it, may even help it..

I've put my timing back to the stock position ( i made sure the guy at the dyno marked it with 2 lines where it was originally ), but before i changed it, it was really hard to start in the mornings.. some times wouldn't start at all !! it's just a pain, as the car was running so beautiful and good, now its been unco poor thing !!

Thanks

Pete
