Car dies out when started!

One day I was going to start my car and it would turn on but would die out Imediatelly after starting the car, unless I would step on the gas lightly when starting the car it would not die out but only if I would let go of the gas pedal. I've changed the fuel pump and it still has the same problem I have no Idea whats wrong with my car?

I dont know much about Z's but a few things to check. Air filter, MAF, Spark plugs , spark plug wires. Do simple things first then harder things later. Let us know how it turns out.
