Is it possible to replace the piston rings, rods and main bearings from the bottom end with only pulling the oil pan?

i ask because i had an oil line pop off over the weekend and didnt realize it immediatly and i think i may have slightly starved the motor of oil.... i am pulling it on friday to find and fix the oil leaks completely. but i wanna say i hear teh slightest start of a rod beginnning to knock. id rather not do all teh work pullign it out and all and putting it back in to start knockin. i havent driven it since and since bearings and rings are relatively cheap i figured if i can replace them i will

should i jsut replace with oem sized rings? the motor has ~30k miles.... or will i need to do it the proper way and pull all the rods out and mic them out?

Nope. If the heads are still on, how will you pull the piston out once the rod cap is off? Or the crankshaft?

Sorry to hear about your troubles though, really sucks man.

well i would obviously remove the crank and pull them out of the bottom, couldnt i pull the crank slide them out the bottom, measure it all out then order the right parts and reassemble?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but in order to get the main caps off to pull the crank out, the heads need to be pulled. It's just not possible with heads on.

well i knwo you can pull them out form the bottom. and i know my na blew because of a spun rod bearing... it was a big knock. but im not even sure if i have aknock yet... i havent had time to look at it... and i know you can slide em out the bottom all day but can you properly put them back in wiht new rings? i dont think you could.... idk something about getting a ring compressor and all goin up seems like it may be difficult..

no you can not take the pistosn otu the bottome!

the casting areas aroudn the main bearings is in the way, and even if you could get it out you'll neve get a ring compressor in there for reassymbly, don't be lazy, pull the heads it's not that much work when yoiu considder the scope of what you are doing
