can someone with a CA swap take some pics of specific parts of the wiring harness for me (like pull back the tape on both sides of the plugs and show what wires go where)???

1) where the engine harness plugs into the chassis harness (where the engine harness plugs into the 2-3 plugs behing the headlights)2) where the engine harness plugs into the fuse box (there are 3 plugs located on the side of the fuse box where the engine harness plugs into)

i need these as CLEAR and CLEAN as u can take them...with a GOOD view of where the wires connect in the plugs to one another...i think some of my buddies wires have been mixed up by the wiring service he had done...if i can get pics of what wires connect to what wires thru the plugs i can fix this stupid problem ASAP

if someone could do this....i and my best friend would appreciate it SO much....i cant tell you how much this is bothering me not being able to get this thing running because of a shaudy wiring job

use the above link, and the FSM (PDF easily available from many places online including zilvia.net (their copy missing a few engine mechanical bits but fine for wiring), and look at what wires you have, and find where they go, and compare that to what shoould be there, and use the above wiring guides to wire them correctly.

If you're doubting the wiring job, you need to verify what each wire is going to anyways, since they might have spliced them wrong out of view so something that is say red, might go to something that is black/white elsewhere, and vice versa, so you'd end up w/ wiring that backwards if you just went by pictures.

There have been enough people that used the SR wiring guides that I know that it works. I've done it myself, so it's a fact. Simply compare the wiring you have on your harness to that which is quite plainly listed on the heavythrottle site.

i have compared the CA harness to my SR harness...there are coloured wires that DO NOT match...and im not talking about like 1 or 2 wires...try about 6-7 different colours that are not on the SR harness...if it were that easy i would have figured it out already...ive spent the better part of 3 saturdays inna row trying to hunt down this problem...and its becoming very frustrating...having someone take a few shots of the plugs in the engine bay would be the easiest way i know of...and yes ive checked the FSM manual u guys have posted numerous times...it doesnt help that the wiring guide is cut up into 4 different pages that are upside down...and ive yet to find in that wiring guide where a few of these colours are

If you don't trust the wiring job already done, chances are then those color wires aren't originally there. They may not BE in the wiring, per se. Thats why I said you may have to compare what should be there, using a multimeter or such, trace the wire to where it should be and see if it's really what it should be.

if you print those 4 pages its not such a big deal to cut and tape them together, or you can print this if you're lazy.

there may be a few wires that don't show at the ECU end as this is EDM vs JDM but the battery connectors are the same as the segments marked as RHD (they have R in the big () in front of the connectors)

ive been to that site quite a few times...it helped out a bit...but i honestly dont see what the big deal is with someone just taking 10 minutes out of their day to snap some pictures??? i mean im not being a d!ck in saying this in any way...but its honestly the easiest way i can think of...im REALLY not in the mood to trace back close to 30 odd wires thru out his wiring harness

thats why im asking for pictures...i need someone with a running CA to snap some shots of their connectors..and its like 4 connects...the only thing causing his motor not to run is the wiring...if it were still a stock harness from the JDM clip...it wouldnt be a problem...but the guy who he sent his wiring harness off to did a REAL hack job at it..and im pulling my hair out trying to clean up what this guy did

I might have a good working one for sale ready to drop in later this week if you're intrested. I'd take a pic, but I don't have a digicam, and the car is 30 min from my house. Sorry!

I just fail to see how pictures will be of any use if the wiring is already suspected of being horribly wrong, as it would seem to indicate likely horrible wrong splices and therefore trying to match by colors would be unpossible.

I don't personally want to try and take pictures because taking any that would be high enough quality to be useful even assuming your wiring colors are correct for their functions, would be quite difficult. esp. the ones under the fusebox..

its not that hard...most swaps ive seen have had the retainers broken off the fuse box ne ways...its like 3 plugs...come on guys...its not THAT hard...im not trying to be a jerk...but i keep getting the same responses over and over...if you dont wanna help someone in dire need out...then dont...if you do...then please just take 10 min...shot a few pics and bam

if we had any CA swaps done in vegas PERIOD i would just get a hold of the person with the CA in their car and check it...but we dont...nothing but SRs running around in vegas
