can i reuse a comeitc head gasket?

I have a cometic head gasket but i had to take off the head i was wondering if i could reuse the triple layer steel gasket (cometic)? and if i can i will be spraying copper gasket sealer on it. just looking @ it, it dosen't seem to be a crush gasket like the stock graphite one layer gasket any info would be great. thanks

Then why buy a cometic if its not reuseable? Check for tears and warpage and clean the gasket off with brake cleaner. Reuse if its good. Ive reused mine 3 times until i overboosted and popped it.

thanks thats what i was thinking with a cometic b/c it wasnt a crush gasket like the stock type graphite i will try reusing it but i am going to spray copper gasket on it thanks alot

You use one because it can hold more pressure. They only cost what $100 is that worth your time to tear the motor down again?
