Hey guysstarting to search for some new tires i don't intend to drop my car unless i see a stunning deal on eibachs sooi was wondering if you could run bigger times in front?

i was thinkign maybe 235/50/18 in front and so far i purchased a pair of 225/45/18 toyo proxes t1r used a little but quite a bit of tread life for 60 bucks for the rear.

Anyone know if this will work and if not, what size tires should I run in front?

Thanks!

depends on how low the offset is and the rim width, im on 235/40's with +30 and 9.5 in rims and it sits past the fender, if you have springs you might rub

i was told before to make sure that the front and back tires are about the same size when i asked people if it was ok to run diff size tires. if you go with that setup your front tires will be 6" taller than the back, that's a pretty big difference. i'd say try to get same sized tires to avoid any potential problems, or atleast really close

no point of running bigger tires unless your going staggered. If so go with a bigger wheel size. its looks wierd on small size rims.

i think his point for the bigger tires is that he wants to fill up the wheel well a bit more so that the gap is more even since our altimas have different sized gaps in the wheel wells. however, i don't know if it's a good reason to go with diff sized wheels, especially a huge 6" difference

no clue how you got 6" thats insanethats bigger then the gap itselfthe difference would be more like 1 1/2 in give or take 1/2 a inch or so.but I get everyone's point.I think imma just burn out my current tires then go 245/45/18 then a drop after unless i see a insane deal on eibachs

thanks everyone for chiming in

sorry I must have misread the tire comparison when i put it through the calculator, but the difference is still 2.5"

http://www.wheelsmaster.com/rt_specs.jsp

the front tire would be 27.3" and the rears would be 25.9", meaning that the whole front of the car would sit 1.75" taller than the rear because the front axle would be raised up. but also keep in mind that if the tire is 2.5" taller, it doesn't mean it will fill up 2.5" of the wheel well, but it sounds like you're going to try to go with more similar sized tires, which is probably best
