I'm in the process of doing my head gasket. I'm having trouble getting the cam gears and upper timing chain on.

What techniques have you guys used to get them on? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No help? I would really love to finish this myself instead of taking it to a mechanic.

It's going to be a tight fit. It has to so it wont jump teeth as well as time. This is what happend to my car. Just muscle it in there while making sure timing is kept where it should be. I actually broke one of my cams trying to get the damn thing to line up straight. Bolted down the back 3 brackets and it just broke inbetween the lobes for the 3rd pistion.

My car used to jump time. Never jumped the cam gears, though.

Here's a old picture of it...

If that was my car I would go back to before the hg blew and prevent it. lol

If there was like a mm more slack I could get it on easy.
