I have recently installed adjustable camber arms and coilovers to get my 11x18s (rear) 9.5x18s (front) with good fitment on my Z.

the rear has a 265 on and the front a 215 (offsets 20) so the tyres are pretty close. I have some pretty aggressive negative camber on the back (5 degrees or so) and maybe 3 degrees at the front.

The car handles terrible. I raised it back up and had it aligned back to factory spec apart from camber (as wheels/tyres/bodywork wont allow this). It drove better, but nowhere near as good as it did before camber.

I have since lowered it back down and it is as sketchy as before, especially the back end, it seems to get better anywhere above 50mph, but town driving every slight bump and its jumping all over the road.

I am guessing I need to compensate camber with toe adjustment?? Is there anyone that has similar camber to me that knows their toe settings?

Has anyone else got similar camber and got their car to drive good??

Thanks guys, Dan

What coilovers and adjustable arms do you have? This could be a compound issue, wacked out alignment specs will cause some discomfort but it sounds to me like you may be bottoming out some of the components or getting physical contact somewhere.

Cheers! But there is definatly no contact both at the back and front of the wheel as the suspension travels.

The problem I am getting is the car jiggles all over the road as it travels over uneven surface.

Am interested to here other people toe and camber setups both front and rear..

What is the typical toe in or out for 5 and 3 degrees of negative camber?

Thanks

Please report your coilover and adjustable parts manufacturer for best help potential, this could be the issue depending upon what products you have, and maybe some you missed...

D, It's like I was just asking for the hell of it.

OP, the contact may be between wheels/tires, body, components, independently, or it could be that lower grade components which are not designed properly do not allow proper travel and cause you to lose all suspension at the limit thereby making the car bounce around like the springs are cut.
