I posted a while back with a question about why my G37 Journey didn't seem to regulate interior temperature very well - there are external and internal temp sensors in the car, and it seemed to only pay attention to the exterior temperature. In my Lexus IS350 I was able to set the temperature and leave it all year long - in the G37 I had to fiddle with the temperature depending on outside temperature (I was running 72 in the Winter and 78 in the summer). My California dealer (Infiniti of Thousand Oaks) said "that's normal". I have since moved to Las Vegas, and the LV dealer (Tobin Infiniti) said they were happy to take a look. They found that the sensors were both working but had not been calibrated correctly - the exterior and interior sensors needed to be calibrated to the same standard. They did the work, and it works correctly now.

Anyone with this issue may want to ask for this calibration - especially if you are still in warranty. The dealer called the Infiniti service hot line and they were familiar with the issue and suggested the calibration. I'm a happy camper now.

(I can also put in a plug for Tobin Infiniti in Las Vegas - the best new car dealer I have ever dealt with.)

Interesting info.

The AC system does all kinds of funky things when left in Auto mode. The biggest complaint I tend to see is the fan speed changes when the outside light level changes.

What color is your G and what was the IS?

Auto is worthless in mine as well. I end up manually adjusting it regardless of the temp I set.
