i just installed my cold air intake last night, but i ran into a problem

i didnt remove the front bumper like the instructions said, i just removed the wheel wall

and now, the intake head is actually too big and is touch the wheel wall. you can feel a lump there, but its not noticable

this is happen to anyone when installing their intakes? any suggesting in correcting the problem?

It does end up pretty close to the tire wall but it shouldn't touch. My only suggestion would be to make sure that all of your connections are pushed in as far as they can be.

oooo

but i havent experienced any rubbing yet... maybe cuz the bump in the wheel wall isnt that big

i was just wondering if this will affect the CAI performance in any way

maybe the heat from the wheel wall will transfer to the intake head?

i know that the fujita intake i think bulges out just a tad. but i have an aem intake and i have no rubbing on the wheel well. make sure you have the spacer in correctly for the fujita, beacause superskunk had his in the wrong way and there was a huge bulge with some rub.
