OK All this info is avaliable in the Versa Service Manual and the TYC site, ...BUT..it is easier said than done.

First of all everything up in the dark filter location is ..black..in a black housing so after the screw driver. a trouble-light is the next tool to use in this little project. Once you find somthing that looks like a "TAB"..(BTW there is no "Handle) you will notice that it defies budging, up, down or out...all required moves to get this dirty little creature out of there and into the garbage.

So here's my secret to 99% of your troubles..get a pair of Vise Grips, lock on to that plastic tab and now, do the up-down-and-out , compress the accordian filter material at the top when it starts to appear, and now it has to come out.

Even with mostly highway driving, after 12,000 miles my original filter was ugly-dirty.

Bought a nice replacement off eBay and saved myself about $50.00 (or more) by removing and changing it out myself.
