well, i know my old trusty maxima was rusty, but it might be close to the time to sell it. a day before im about to drive across the country, when i get out of the car, i get a mild aroma of gas. i sniffed around and it was coming from the rear left wheel well... but not the gas cap. i took the wheel off and the mud cover, and look what i find! Image a hole literally rusted through the pipe that goes from the filler to the tank. i patched it up with some gas tank epoxy as a temporary fix. does anyone know the part number or exactly what i would need to replace the pipe (additionally gaskets, o-rings, etc)? buy new or just yank it out of a junkyard?

thanks for your input!

Check out http://www.RockAuto.com They should have something like that. You shouldn't have to replace the entire tank.

Holy crap.

Get a filler pipe and a tank from a junkyard.

Fix that ASAP. Aside from being a pollutant, it's a fire hazard.
