Hey, I know the ka24de throttle body is bigger than ca18's, and thats why people upgrade. But i was given a ka24de throttle body (or so he says) from my buddy since he had an extra, and it measured the same size as whats on my car. I think 2 3/4 inch? This was a few weeks ago. Its quite possible the previous owner upgraded it, but I was just confused. Anyone have clarification here?

I was going to upgrade, thats why i ask.

I would think the easy way to check is to pull off the i/c piping at the throttle body, open the butterfly and check to see if the intake manifold was dremeled out to match the throttle body

the outside diameter of the flange of both TBs are the same, its the butterfly that is a good amount larger then the CA.
