ca18det or sr20det for 88 pulsar ?

I have a 1988 nissan pulsar nx xe with a ca18de in it i am in the process of installing the bottom end and rotating assembly from a det and have the turbo i would like to know if anyone has ever done a sr20 in this model ?

i love the car and it only has 30,000 miles i plan on doing a lot to it

sweet. I'd go ca18det just cause its easier and cheaper, plus it came origonally in that model ! But if you want to go through some custom work to make it all work, i think it would be a bad *** car. Up to you man.

CA18DET would be best because you could use the CA transmission you already have in there... I did this swap in my 87 (CA16DE) and it wasn't all that difficult.

PS - If yours has the CA motor in it, it would be an SE, not XE. The XE that year had the E16i. Sorry, I'm just kinda picky when it comes to Pulsars
