Ca18det fuel cut/boost cut problems!

I have searched and have found many different answers. This forum seems to be the most acurate so I figured i would ask........

Ok so I have a Ca18det with the following mods. Fmic,t25g,profec boost cont.,hard intake pipe,255 fuel pump,N60 maf,apexi safc-2(no corrections)tubular mani,3" elbow,3"exhaust,cometic head gasket and a bunch of other stuff that really doesn't matter. @ 14psi with stock maf it pulled fine unless the filter was remove. Then it would fall on its face at about 5500rpm. So i figured i maxed out the stock afm. So i wired up a n60 and set it as 4in and 7out. It runs perfect on seven psi but on 14 it hits a brick wall again at about 5500. shouldn't of changing to the bigger maf stopped it from hitting fuel cut? or is it something else? or is it something a tuner must do in the afc? Thanks in advance

So you're running a higher boost with no tuning? I assume this because you said your SAFC has no correction. No wonder you're hitting fuel cut.

Hopefully detnation hasn't hurt the pistons.

thats alot of boost to be pushing if the SMIC is still being used.

I would think your are leaning out too much, but idk.

Did you read his mod list? Clearly stats FMIC.

But yeah that thing is running stupid lean. It was probably running stupid lean on 7 psi.

What kind of FPR do you have? I hope adjustable at least.

On the flip side of that he may be running really rich.Mine had the exact symptoms @14-15psi on a t25g, stock maf and other mods same to yours, with no tune. Went and got it dyno tuned, and it was super rich....off the scale rich....the afr's were like 9.5 After leaning out the afc-2.....we got my afr's up to where they need to be, made like 15whp doing so, and the symptoms @ 5500 rpms disappeared.So, go get it tuned, and see where your afr's are sitting at
