Guys,

I gotta say I am IMPRESSED. I know I know, this is a near stock ca18det in a front wheel drive sentra - but dang I am amazed at the power...

I'm used to driving either my 300 hp Chevy truck or my 250 hp Dodge Suv, and I gotta say I believe the sentra would take either one now!

It's still got a few bugs to work out here and there, such as a slight miss and an exhaust rattle, as well as a front end alignment.

I started it up and took it up on the highway just to see how it felt in 2nd and 3rd gear. Realize now this is the first turbo car I've EVER driven. Once it passed about the 3k rpm mark it was crazy how hard it seemed to push me back in the seat.

Even after all the trouble i've had gettin this thing going - I have to say it was worth it after today.

Good to hear from somebody else who's done a FWD setup. I am doing the same thing in my KN13 Pulsar... which is almost a B12 Sentra, almost.

I have been questioned by a lot of people as to why I'm doing it or why I'm speding this much on that old of a car, and I can't tell them anything other than "To me, it will all be worth it in the end."

Congrats on your car!

Ya, but it ain't got squat on my 4:11 geared 450 hp 3200 lb 55 Chevy :P

I'll get ya some pics posted up here in a little bit of the engine compartment - soon as I finish removing the 10 layers of paint from the bumpers this thing is getting a paint job! Maybe then I won't be so ashamed to post a pic of it.

glad to hear ya enjoying it. B12 + CA18 'should' be a weapon.Street toyotas gone 10s with "transverse" mounted 4/7AG (1.6/1.8L), so....

A buddy has a lowered B12 and me being a RWD rolla guy, I actually think its

a cool looking ride. My first thought... "if only that B12 was RWD with a CA18".

Congratulations on getting your swap up and running. It should be a fun car to drive, but the same rules apply: No boosting above 12psi on stock system, no advancing the timing to get some extra power, no upgrading injectors without getting ecu upgraded to accomodate, blah, blah, blah. Other than that, you should be able to have some fun with it.............

Thanks, and don't worry until this thing gets all the bugs worked out and painted etc - they ain't gonna be much of any upgrades. Once I stock up a little cash I'm thinking of going with a front mount intercooler. There is plenty of room with the coupe front bumper for one. I've not touched the factory settings on the boost nor plan to for awhile. As for the Ecu, I've got Nistune and I only plan on changing up the injectors when they go bad. Regardless it will be wideband tuned once those go in.

Any ideas on gauge mounting in a B12?

My gauges are mounted on the driver's side A-pillar using a gauge pod from a civic and some minor mods.

It's so cuuuute ! That takes me back 10 years to when my first DET swap resembled yours, less the way the air filter sits. The engine had around 10k miles and looked fairly new. I would eventualy destroy that engine 10 days later. Happy boosting...............

I hope mine lasts more than 10 days!

By the way Dee, on the gauge pod you modified, what year of civic do I need to order the gauge pod for that I can modify to fit my B12?

I think it's the 1992-95 model. I just never really paid much attention to the year; just got 'em and modded 'em.

Is a guy on nicoclub.com that sells urethane bushings for pulsar se sways, just do a search on there. Yes I'm a US guy. In the US sentra's came with tiny sway bars, I got a set from a Pulsar Se to upgrade my suspension.

I heard that a Pulsar GTI-R strut tower brace will work with very little mods on my sentra - I need to get one of those...

By the way I took the car to the paint shop yesterday. Boy did I get a deal - I'm gonna wire this guys 3 room house in exchange for free labor on painting my car and some panels on a truck of mine.

Okay, here's a quick update...

The main body of the car was painted last nite and there is still a little bit of modification we have to do to get the Nissan Sunny rear bumper to work. Once that is finished I'll be putting up some pics with some new parts on it.

Here's the pics...
