passed with FLYING colors, dont have a scan of the sheet but i know i was way under on all of the tests, I failed once for a leak in my exhaust and a power steering leak but no issues on passing the sniffer. I also have all of the emissions stuff on mine though and i dont know if emissions in austin is any different than it is in Jersey...

So you left the carbon canister on and retrofitted an EGR system on?

EGR system? is that?? lol jk

Dover, DE is notorious for failing people on emissions as i was told..people tell me to find inside-connections with dmv workers or drive out somewhere else in DE...but...i was too lazy so i did the following:

-went through inspection and failed the side marker lights & liscence plate light-passed brakes-failed emissions-failed fuel pressure of tank-passed pressure hold on cap

**found 15amp light control fuse blown and replaced it**got my old Carbon Canister and replaced my Catalytic Converter back on (was running test pipe at the time of emissions just to try, like i said i was lazy)**found NO O-Ring in tank so i changed that too $6-8? nissan dealer

30 mins before inspection again:~checked the lights myself and they were fine~Ran the piss out of the car (i was told till the cat is red hot but i wouldnt know...i just did a quick 1/4mile the best i could on the freeway/highway merge)

$$PASSED everything!!

Verdict is: fix your CA and keep all the stock emissions stuff on..

Atleast for me it worked that way...

Well, other than the fact that it won't pass visual, I would run a whole series of catalytic converters and maybe run it on an alcohol/gasoline mix. Good luck man, CA emissions suck. Register your car in Alabama, we don't have any emissions at all.

well i didnt add an EGR but i did leave the carbon canister on, and i have the butterfly valves still, my car wont pass now because it is catless.... but thats cuz im poor, it did pass a few months ago before my exhaust fell apart and got replaced by 3 inch. someone told me on a 300zx you can pull the vac hose off of the fpr and that would make it pass, didnt try on my CA but that would have been next if it were to fail. might try that...
