I have 2 extra RWD alternators in my garage if you don't want to get it rebuilt. They should be charging no more than $80-$100 for a rebuild on your core.

and to add to Dee's post, no, there are no USDM replacements.. with alot of bracket hackery you can kind of get a KA one to work but you'll never get it moutned right and chew through belts in days or weeks, and chance blowing the engine from losing a belt and water pump pressure since its on the same belt..

either rebuilt, or look for people who haves spares such as Dee

What's wrong with getting yours rebuilt? I've had it done on all sorts of alternators on almost all of my cars w/o any problems. It's generally a much cheaper route than buying a remanufactured one. They will also generally only replace what needs replaced instead of replacing everything.

i had mine rebuilt and it cost about $50

But before that I used one from a 200sx, I believe.I had 2 that i got from the junkyard, but one of them i couldn't use cause the piece where the adjustment is was to far to one side.

The other one bolted up, but i think i had to bend the adjustment bracket alittle, cause the alternator, not the pulley, stuck out alittle more.
