CA18DET 13psi?

Hey my silvia is "stock" with just exhaust and intake, i know stock psi is 7 so how the hell can i boost at 13psi without some sort of boost controller either manual or electronic?

Im worried about boosting that high can anyone help me out.

if your not always boosting to 13 psi ... just for some race its okay .. but be sure to have a decent intercooler but pushing 13 14 15 pis on the stock turbo is pushing it .. ! you need a boost controller of some sort... if you just unplug your actuator, u will have no boost control and ull be overboosting and surely get some damage.. soon

no he means its spiking to 13 psi i beleive

im not sure. is your wastegate line (vacuum line) hooked up?

Where I live, the stock boost is 13 psi, then it drops to about 8-9 psi. This is with the 4 port head. Maybe you have a non jdm engine.

No its not a spike its constant boost at 13psi, i was told that the free flowing exhaust and intake raise the boost alittle bit and thats why it is boosting at 13. Either way im looking into getting a MBC the EBC are just too damn expensive.

I don´t meen a 13 psi spike, turbo holds 13 psi from 3400 rpm to about 5500 where it starts to drop, till redline which is about 9 psi. this is 100% stock engine, turbo, intercooler, etc. Just a BOV

My silvia did the exact same thing.. Maybe there was some kind of easy mod that kids overe there were doing..

A friend of mine has his car from new (1991 90,000Km) and it has always boosted like that, it has to do with diferent region specs

i have the exact same problem..if you kinda look around i asked and people were nice enough to put some replies but i havent been online since so you should also check it out mine is stock w/ only intake and saab intercooler with mbc and it went 15 psi...wtf

I do know that MBC do spike in colder weather, tis the season.
