is anyone using the ca18de as a replcement water pump? I heard that as a replacement that only the ca18et should be used. i have been running the ca18de pump for some time now but i just recently found out it is unsafe and i was wondering why that is?

Its only unsafe if you are running the stock mechanical fan. The DE water pump wasnt meant to have the load of a fan on it.

yep. I ran a DE with no fan for over a year w/o issues. That pump failed within minutes of adding a clutch fan however
