my ca18de head gasket does'nt have all the coolant ports cut out on it i put one on before and put it all together it ran fine but coolant was leaking out of where the headgasket seals.

are my gaskets defective ( bought 2 awhile ago just incase i blew one ) they both look the same but the ports on the block are'nt there

should i carefully cut them out?

thanks

hum.

If you have the headgasket installed upside down, it will have similar situation where some holes got blocked.

I would say get yourself another new headgasket from a different vednor and install it. save yourself some time and money as it is not very simple to keep removing and replacing the headgasket, time consuming.

GOOD LUCK,PULSAR GTRRafi

Actually, I think the coolant only passes between the block and the head in the #4 cylinder. Mine is all the same way. And the stock gasket was like that when I got the motor.

do not cut them out, instead make sure your block/head mating surfaces are completely perfectly clean of old gasket, and then that you properly torqued the head down.

it is normal for our gaskets to be partially blocking some of the passages that way, I have an OEM one myself

Have you had the cylinder head and block checked for flatness?
