CA swappers, is there a plug on the KA harness for the knock sensor?

I have never worked on an originally KA-powered car with a CA going in and I was curious what are you guys doing for the knock sensor?

The KA knock sensor comes out of the harness where the coolant temp sensor and TPS sensor is. For the CA, I am running the knock sensor straight into the main harness where it comes out by the plugs near the battery.

ok, where does the KA knock sensor wire meet th CA harness. Is that one of the wires that must be spliced under the dash? I keep waiting for someone to say "search newb"!

I don't know, we don't use the KA knock sensor with the CA. We use the CA knock sensor. This is where I wired mine...

In case you can't tell, I ran the knock sensor from the lower harness up into the main harness. It's not like that now though...I seperated it from the lower harness altogether.

LOL, Ok give him a break guys, he's not usually in the States, so he's a little confused. You know, driving on the correct side of the road and all...

Anyway, it depends on what motor S13 you are working on. The KA24E's (like mine) didn't have a knock sensor and so lack the appropriate wires under the fuse box for the knock sensor. Since I had the CA lower harness, and it had the plug for the knock sensor, I just separated it out of the lower harness and the sheilded wire out of the main harness, found the correct plug, spliced it all together, and plugged it in.
