I have a JDM right hand drive 89 180SX with CA18DET, just wondering if the exhaust, downpipe, straightpipe made for SR would bolt right up.

exhausts are specific to chassis. not motor. if you use the sr o2 housing and dp.. it will go.. you might need to do a little "custom" work (banging here and there with a hammer. or some cutting and welding)

As long as the sr O2, DP and exhaust is made for S13, it should fit am I right?

yes, as long as you use the WHOLE sr exhaust (o2 housing and dp) it will work. you cannot use a sr down pipe with a CA o2 housing without cutting the flange on the down pipe, turning it and re-welding it.

since youre driving a rhd car, you wont have to worry about any of those dumb clearance issues though. you can probably get away with anything you want.

edit: just out of curiosity, where are you located? please tell me you managed to sneak a jdm s13 through customs and got it registered in the US.

Im from Vancouver, Canada. As long as the vehicle is over 15yrs old we could import it here.

The thing about my RHD is I dont know whether USDM aftermarket parts would fit my car. For example if I wanted to get HKS exhaust, would the US version fit? or do I have to order through Japan? Same thing applies to turbo manifold, downpipe and O2 housing would the US versions fit?

My plan is to get either S14 or S15 turbo, at the same time upgrading the entire engine back exhaust components. SSautochrome seems to be the cheapest and easiet way, but I wanted to get some quality parts and see what other choices I could get.

Any help is appreciated.

i was previously running stock sr20det 02 dump elbow w/aiv plug and greddy MX 80mm sr20det downpipe. NO PROBLEMS whatsoever with clearance. only compplain was its position, the thing hung almsot 2 inches below the frame rails, gRrR talk about scrappage:(

dude. exhaust is chassis specific. jdm, usdm, its all the same thing! turbo manifolds, turbos, downpipes are all engine specific. they'll work just fine in either a rhd or lhd car, the ONLY difference is that some of the JDM manifolds are too large or in the wrong place to clear our steering shafts in a LHD car. Since you have a RHD car this isn't a problem, and you can run *ANY* CA18 manifolds or other parts for either a JDM or USDM s13.
