ok so my gauge goes to 100 psi and when i first start her up oil is at 90-100 but only when its cold and high idle. wtf is going on with all these turbos????? and why all this after doing the HKS cams? this is why i hate some mods

should i remove the factory 90* restrictor and only run the .03 restrictor on the turbo? could this be my problem? i just spoke to a guy with this exact same problem and he doesnt have a solution.

This may have been done or already ruled out, but my whole oil pump was dirty as s h i t when I pulled my first motor into pieces for a rebuild. Upon removing the pressure regulator from the pump, I found all kinds of varnish build up and gunkiness. Maybe check that out?

i think i found the reason......#4 cylinder leak down turn out 80% leak, with oil it jumped to 65 then right back to 80......guess it is rebuild time....boohoo

That would do it. Excessive crankcase pressure's backing the oil up into the turbo and toasting the seals.

IDK but it was about as fast as my old setup t25 and stock cams, lol so i can't wait to feel it when its back to 4 cylinders

.. so after removing the #4 piston i found a broken ring, not the top ring and not the oiling ring but the center ring..... i popped another ring on it and buttoned it back up with my new DSM injectors, butterfly system removed, HKS 256s, GT28r, 38mm extrenal wastegate and KA throttle body. put it in the car tonight and gonna run and tune tomorrow...should be fun.
