offtopic but hey, another local! (In texas anything less than 2 hours away is local, IMHO lol)

there's not many of us in the area but we do exist. Is it easy to get the top of or do i have to take it to a machine shop

You'll have to remove the head and the oil pan. The best thing to do is remove the oil pan. How did you mess up a piston? Did you run high boost for too long of a time? Or did you just overboost it? Be wary of this as you can mess up more than one piston by cracking the ringland and it going unnoticed. I would pull all the pistons first because I'm sure you may very well have more than one that's screwed. And if you have only one messed-up, then consider yourself lucky. I once popped all 4 at the same time.

Well actually i bought the motor comletly apart, and when i was looking everything over i saw a peice that was broken write above the second ring, but only on 1 piston. Oh and i sent u an email.

have the block checked by a machine shop as if you broke a piston ringland, you probably messed up the block (or whoever did teh damage)

I do, but they are .50 oversized. If your crank needs to be cut, then you may have some use for them.
