I started this as a new topic to avoid clutter and/or confusion in the "read only" thread.

What i would like people to do here is suggest ideas on ways which the mods and the members can make this section more interesting and inspiring in the performance sense.

Once idea i came up with is to have a CA18DET of the month or bi-month or something. Personally i know that seeing pictures of other peoples engines is very exciting. Weather it is in stock condition or heavily built. I know that there are many members with very sweet setups but i rarely get to see them or even hear about them.

I dont know how the voting or anything like that would work. Maybe it wouldnt even have to be anything special. Maybe the mods can pick a member every month and do a profile on them. Include things like why they chose CA ,how long have they had it, how much experience with the motor, mods, pictures things like that.

This may not turn the forum towards being performance related but it would atleast make it more interesting and there would always be something to come here and read that will be entertaining instead just seeing locked threads or complaints about the forums.

So lets here your ideas or thoughts on my idea.THanks

I think that is cool and all, but I think it should more of an "article" of the month focusing on something that we use everything that is misunderstand. Something like PCV/breather can/crank pressure. From the pics I have seen most are not hook up the best way.

Or something like picking the right turbine for your upgrade turbo. Why you would want it. It will take alot of research, but you can put ideas out there and have other members add to it.

i think it sounds like a great idea, WHY? becasue a lot of members here ask all the how..and why's.. if you made an article on peoples mods with pics it would answer a lot of their questions that arent on faq, like sr20det turbo clocking and which parts fit from what cars which isnt always covered in faq

also, id just like to see updates of everyones motors and cars. so i give it a 5 thumbs up out of 6

Thanks for the input guys and I like the sound of it. I'll keep it in mind and talk to the other mods about it.

Yeah, I definitely like the "CA of the Month" idea. Gives us a chance to see other setups and whatnot.
