I definitely want to do a swap into a vert, and wanted to get your guys' opinion on which engine to go with. Would there be any advantage to a ca over an sr? This guy has one in his s12, and he says it pulls harder than the sr in my hatch. Also, is there any way a ca swap would be legal in california? Cuz I know getting an sr smogged is a pain

I had a CA in my vert and it was awesome. Never had any probs with it. I definitely got a lot of criticism for it because the car was "heavier" and yadda yadda. The car hauled and that is all that mattered really. Definitely search around for sr vs. ca debates its been covered SOOO many times.

CA vs. SR has been covered a million times. It all comes down to preference. They both have their pro's and con's.

The CA and SR are good motors and they both will frop in your vert as I'm doing one myself. As stated, it all comes down to preference and we areall kinda biased here, so the answer is simple. No more comparisons on the two motors as stated by others, it has been discussed a bunch of times. Next order of business!
