Wow, I have seen the pistons and would have pictures for ya, but I didnt have a camera on me before he sent them off to the machine shop. They look nice, and the oilers impressed me. A picture's worth a thousand words. Boat, when will the pistons be back so I can get some pics?

He said he's taking the stuff in to get the bottom end balanced tonight so the bottom end should be done shortly. I'm thinking that the shop will be done with everything this week. We'll see...

Hey Ryan,

I don't know what you're being charged for, but let me point out the simple fact that this motor doesn't need to go through balancing unless you've had serious milling done to your crank, rods and walls. Just an FYI......

Dee, would you feel that I should be balancing my bottom end? The only changes major changes I'm making is the 84mm CP Pistons which means I'll be overboring 1mm. Stock rods/crank etc, new bearings etc.

If it seems pointless then that'll save me some $$$

I'm balancing due to the new pistons. They are TOTALLY different than the stock ones (bore and compression) and I'm pretty sure that the weight of the new pistons are different, so I told him to balance it.
