Hi, I've been trolling for a while now and figure I'd introduce myself and ask a few questions while I'm at it.

First off I did a search on "ca clutch" and only 2 threads popped and was not very clear.

My clutch is slipping a lot, just got the CA18DET swap done. Also the clutch pedal isn't popping up as fast as it should? Kinda just gradually comes up, the fluid has been bled.

So I was wondering if worst come to worst and I need to replace my clutch, which can I use. I saw someone saying that the ca DE will fit? But no one replied on that. Also I read that the KA will fit with some work. Which would be the cheapest and most reliable route?

I did some research on gaybay's XTD clutch and saw some good reviews. Anyone tried those with proper break in?

Thanks in advance! Good to be on board.

Sorry after some more careful reading/searching I came upon the infos. So the ca18et clutch will fit on ca18det w/o any mods.

Will this work?

Spec makes some nice reliable clutchs for the CA18. Lots of options too depending on your power goals.

My previous experience with spec was not so good, but that was many years ago and on a ka. It destroyed my flywheel and blew apart after a year of use. You can get exedy and other assorted brands if you feel like importing it from europe or austrailia.

Just so you know, using a CA18ET clutch will be be a downgrade over your slipping one. The CA18ET is rated to only 120 FLYWHEEL hp. After a while it'll just slip again on your CA18DET. I'd say KA is your BETTER choice although a good clutch is worth the money. Do it once and do it right, unless you like pulling trannies(no pun intended).

just buy a ka24 centerforce dual friction for like 320-340 and take the flywheel studs off and drill the holes out a little bigger on the pressure plate.

Thanks for the advice guys, I went ahead with exedy oem. Although it was weird that the new pressure plate didn't match up with the ca flywheel. Can't wait till I break it in.
