Guys, I am getting this DTC Code constantly. The stealership replaced the brake caliper back in late July of this year. Even after that fix, we were still getting this DTC. They then decided to do two brake fluid flushes which temperarily fixed the issue.

However, this code decided to come back this past Friday, while the vehicle was in motion. I took this painful pile of metal back to the original stealership, and they said they can't take a look at it while the idiot light was on. So I went to their sister store, which origianlly started the whole rip off and raping of customers, and they said go back to the oiriginal stealership.

Having been fed up with this, I asked Honda to look into this and explained my situation, but instead they were like we will buy this pile of junk off of our hands for $12k. But they also said, first bring this up with the Nissan Stealership's service director (which I am and unfortunately, I will have to miss a full day's of work because Its on the opposite side of the state).

DO I have a claim for a buyback or lemon? Also, this DTC started after this exact Nissan stealership touched the brakes back in mid June. This DTC and idiot light has come up 7 times at least since beginning of July.

And I have a strong feeling that it has to do with the wiring, but the stealership is just throwing parts at this vehicle. It clearly indicates that there is a short somewhere in the circuit and they are not diagnoising this thoroughly.

I wish we bought extended warranty had we known this was a lemon. Our 2016 gave us no issues. This pile of junk as it deserves the title and name of a POS. Never in my lifetime had I seen a newish vehicle with such low miles needing massive and major repairs.

The above link is what needs to be replaced according to the engineers at Nissan. Unfortately, this is not the price that the stealership is wanting me to pay. They want me to pay $961.30. Thats just for the damn part. :wtf2:

(For those that are lazy to click on the link, the price of it as of October 12th 2025 is ~$503 after discounts, before taxes and fees).

Yes, its on the RO and they wanted me to pay for it yesterday after they did a diag on the vehicle to understand why its throwing these two DTCs and the idiot light for the electronic parking brake. Its almost a ~50% markup on the part.

@Vstar -- can this part be DIY'ed or do I need to get it programmed by a stealership?

Why do you keep taking it to the dealership??? Go to an independent mechanic.

Well, I have family members that says take it to the dealership. Unfortunately there's only 1 in all of Central FL that I trust with my cars, and none of them are Nissan. This bill was a massive wake up call for my family members and now they are saying to look elsewhere.

I am going to call few places in town, but I need to know if I need to get that ECU programmed by Nissan or can it just be a plug and play?

Now why on earth would you want the opinion of a "stealership" technician?

Sorry, but since you evidently haven't noticed, I'm done with you.
