Buzzing in Dash

Today I got back in my car after going in the store for about 10 minutes. When I opened the door before I even put the key in, there was a buzzing coming from my instrument panel. I tryed everything to get it to shut off. Turned the key on and off, the lights on and off, etc. I drove home and parked it, 20 minutes later it was still buzzing. I put in the key, started it up and it shut off. Any ideas of what it might be.It is a 2003 G35 with 11,000 miles.

That's a weird one... I'm great at guessing at problems with 14 year old cars that I've heard of all of the problems, but it's tough on a new one! You might have your service advisor look for TSBs for the problem... Did anything not work while the noise was taking place?

Almost sounds like a relay chattering to me...

I would try <all> the buttons in the dash in various combinations of On/Off to see if anything isnt working right.

In my Austin 1995 Q45 there is a slight rattle/buzz underway at about 2 oclock under the dash. Will investigate if it gets worse, or if I have to remove it for another reason. I can thump the dash at this location iwth my fist to elicit the vibration.

Everything seems to be working fine. Even the navigation. I guess I will just wait and see if it does it again. I thought maybe someone else had a similar problem. I called the service dept. and they haven't heard of any other problems. Either it will never do it again or the problem will surface.
