Ok so I have a 1995 SE and as such my cluster has white faces. Is there an easy way to advance the mileage of whatever cluster I get to what I currently have? Or to transplant the old number wheels into the new gauges? I want to get standard black face gauges.

If transplanting of the mileage wheel things isn't a decent possibility (ie: probably will break both clusters). Can I swap the faces?

Another sort of related question. I think I remember reading that the clusters found in kouki's have different amount of plugs and even different plugs...Has anyone made a kouki cluster work in a zenki?

Bottom line, I want to retain the mileage on the cluster I have now while getting rid of the ugly SE white faces

Tampering with the mileage is a federal offense. I wouldn't do that if I were you.

Not going to tamper with the mileage other than making the new gauge reflect what my car currently has in the current cluster. How do you fix the mileage in a new gauge then? Is the only way to put a piece of paper in with the car to show that mileage in the cluster does NOT reflect actual mileage, and do some sort of mileage disclosure? I really want to get a black cluster to replace the SE (white faced one).

Has anyone tried swapping the faces of the gauges? Is that possible?I I bought a black cluster I could swap every gauge over as a direct swap, and then just maybe change the face plate on the odometer?

I'm not trying to glean knowledge with my questions about changing the clusters with the ultimate intent for using it towards doing something illegal. I want to show off my car's old age (220k+ miles) while getting rid of the showy/ricey white faced gauges. I like my car's exterior and interior to be clean. The white faced gauges do not go AT ALL inside the car. There's nothing else inside the car that is white, and it just looks really... OFF. Plus looking at it makes me want to say my car is factory

That's tampering with it. I believe you need to get an "odometer statement" for the car if you change to another cluster. Call your local title office and ask them.

Ok so anyone know then if the face plates can be moved from one set of gauges to another? These white faced gauges gotta go.
